How may we and what information may we collect from you

This includes information you provide when you register to use our site, subscribe to our service (including marketing), search for a product, place an order on our site, submit any contact form or live chat, enter a competition, promotion or survey, and when you report a problem with our site or order. The information you give us may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, financial and credit card information, details of transactions you require and the fulfillment of orders and login information. With regard to your sensitive cred card information then this is input into our payment providers page who use SSL encryption when exchanging the detail from your browser.

For example, if you’re using the site on your mobile, you may choose to provide us with location data. We share your information internally within the JCB Group when required for our business to function: Like any big global business, JCB is not just a single company, but instead is a group, made up of a number of different company and entities in different parts of the world. We may therefore need to disclose your information (including your personally identifiable information) to any of our group of companies as necessary, in order to operate JCB and to provide the Products and Services. As they are all part of the JCB Group, the requirements set out in this notice apply to all of these companies, as equally as they do to JCB Service
We may share your information with selected third parties including:
Business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with you or to perform surveys on our behalf regarding such contracts. For example, companies who make deliveries, our dealers who assist in the operation of click and collect, companies who support our IT systems and those who audit what we are doing. Each of the external companies we work with has been selected by us for their ability to provide what we need to our required specification, including their ability to handle sensitive data (like your personal information) securely and appropriately. Credit reference agencies or fraud prevention agency for the purpose of assessing your credit score where this is a condition of us entering into a contract with you. Where we store your personal data
All information you provide to us is stored on our or our webhosting provider secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone including those also within your organisation.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure.
