Parts Warranty

This Parts Warranty Policy is limited to any defect in the Parts arising, in JCB India’s opinion, from faulty design, materials or workmanship which shall become apparent, within the warranty period of 6 months for parts fitted by Customer or 12 months for parts fitted by Dealer Engineer from the date of Dealer / JCB invoice on select Parts, whichever occurs first. Any statutory or other warranty condition, description or representation expressed or implied as to the state of quality or fitness for any purpose of the Parts, beyond those mentioned below, are hereby expressly excluded.

Provided always, the above warranty is subject to the following conditions:

- JCB India’s liability extends only to repair or replacement of Parts and it accepts no liability for any consequential or other loss, damage or injury resulting directly or indirectly from any defect or indirectly from any defect in the Parts.

- JCB India’s warranty for the Parts does not extend to failure due to defects or damage attributable to wear and tear, improper adjustments, neglect, and alteration of specification or accident.

- All defective Parts must be returned to the JCB Dealer immediately together with full particulars of the defects, the machine serial number, the hours worked and the date the machine installed enabling the dealer to raise the claim on Customer's behalf. The defective Parts, so returned shall become the property of JCB India.

- In the event of rejection by JCB India of any warranty claim, the Part or Parts returned will be destroyed unless specific instructions to the contrary were given when the Part or Parts were returned.

- All services & preventive maintenance checks should be completed according to the JCB India’s recommendation & reports shall be kept by the Dealer / customer and made available to the manufacture / company , if and when required.

- No claim will be considered, if other than the genuine Parts are used or if other than the manufacturers recommended lubricants are used.

- This warranty should be construed as strictly limited in its application and is valid only for new genuine Parts.

- JCB India shall not be held responsible for eventual breach of its obligations, if such obligations have been delayed, hindered, interfered with or otherwise prevented by events of force majeure, like forces of nature, such as storm, earthquake and floods, embargoes, confiscation, war, fire, revolution, insurrection, public protest actions, sabotage, strike or any other kind of labour disputes or any other cause beyond the influence or control of JCB India. In case of any force majeure circumstances, JCB India shall immediately give a written notice to the Dealer/Customer of such an event, and inform about the estimated duration. Force majeure shall extend the delivery period by the duration of the force majeure condition.

- This warranty shall cease to have effect if the purchaser removes or defaces or alters the manufacture’s number or nameplate or any other numbers or marks affixed to the Part.

- For Parts supplied / replaced under warranty or voluntarily or at special rates or free of charge, this Parts Warranty Policy will not be applicable.

- JCB India/Dealer shall not be liable for any loss of time to the user while the equipment is out of commission either at the user end or while under repair.

- Any claim or obligation in connection with the sale, supply, replacement of the Parts shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Courts in Delhi Only.

Warranty Terms

- This warranty information applies to all JCB Parts, including Recon parts, retailed to the customer by Dealers (either front retail parts counter or fitted by dealer service department).

- Part fitted by the customer - Warranty Period: 6 months from retail date

- Part fitted by JCB dealer - Warranty Period: 12 months from date of sale

- JCB Parts Warranty is only applicable to failures of genuine parts. The parts warranty terms are applicable to parts that are not covered by the original equipment machine warranty. When a part is fitted to a machine that is under original manufacturing warranty, the warranty applicable will be the remainder of the machine warranty - not the parts warranty.

- Parts found to be incorrect, damaged or defective before sale or fitment should not be claimed under warranty but returned by the parts procedures covering short shipment, damage or defective parts using the current parts return procedures as appropriate.

Exclusions

- Ground-engaging wear and tear parts namely, Tooth and Side cutters etc.

- Bulbs & Glasses

- Parts with MRP less than Rs 250.

- Consequential replaceable Parts

Warranty Administration

- Warranty procedure is same as mentioned in the Service Policy

- The disposal of the failed parts will be similar to and as per prevailing Service Policy for machine warranty parts
